I’ve been making Slow Cooker meals all week and I’m in love. My favorite part of the whole production (which isn’t even a “production”) is when Cooper wakes up first thing in the morning, I pick him up out of his crib and ask him if he wants to help me cook. He replies with a big old “yeahhhhh!!”. He’s so enthusiastic, that if I wasn’t already exited for morning time – well I’m beyond excited now!
I plop him down next to the crock pot on the counter and he watches while I chop up ingredients; then I let him toss them all in. He is actually pretty helpful. Except one morning this week he threw his whole bowl of breakfast grapes into the crock pot. That was a bit of a set back.
I loved this chili. It’s Whole30 so there are no beans, but instead there are sweet potatoes. I never thought to add sweet potatoes to chili but I’m obsessed now. This dish is like the epitome of fall. And I loved every minute of it.
