I realize how hard it is to cook dinner now with a child clinging to my leg. Seriously, I invented a new game today. It’s called Scuttle. Cooper grabs onto my legs and shoves his head in between my knees and then I just start scurrying around the kitchen. This buys me about 1.5 minutes because he just starts cracking up and leaves me alone. Then he finds me again after those 1.5 minutes and we do it again. It’s good stuff.
Its not really good stuff, I just tell myself this so I don’t throw a wooden spoon at him.
My new food motto – make stuff that both my husband and child will like. So Macaroni and Cheese with Broccoli, Bacon and Chicken? That speaks both of my boys language. My child literally inhaled these noodles.

This dish took me 30 min to make. And Mark wanted to eat dinner at 4pm. So I was done with all aspects of dinner by 5pm. Cooking, eating and dishes. Boom. I could get used to this. I was able to sit my butt down on the couch at 6pm, right after Coop goes to bed, and watch mindless tv? HOLY CRAP. That is amazing stuff right there.
Also, if anyone has any ideas on having your baby NOT wake up at 4:20am every single morning for the last week, that would be helpful. Otherwise wooden spoons might actually start flinging around the kitchen due to utter exhaustion.
